Chelsea F.C. vs Paris Saint-Germain FC Prediction 13 July 2025
Added on 11 July, 2025
This Sunday’s Club World Cup final features a heavyweight clash between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, two European giants with sharply contrasting paths to the decisive match.
Chelsea, despite a rocky start in the group stage, have shown notable improvement as the tournament progressed.
The Blues finished second in their group with six points, having defeated Los Angeles FC (2-0) and Esperance (3-0) but falling to Flamengo (1-3). However, once in the knockout rounds, they hit their stride — brushing aside Benfica 4-1, edging Palmeiras 2-1, and shutting out Fluminense 2-0 to book their place in the final.
PSG, on the other hand, have been in ruthless form throughout the tournament, aside from a surprising 0-1 slip-up against Botafogo early on — a match that, notably, remains the only one in which they’ve conceded. Since then, Luis Enrique’s men have put together a dominant run, demolishing top-tier clubs with ease: Atletico Madrid (4-0), Seattle Sounders (2-0), Inter Miami (4-0), Bayern Munich (2-0), and most recently, Real Madrid (4-0). With just one goal conceded and 20 scored, PSG arrive at the final as overwhelming favorites.
While Chelsea have shown resilience and tactical growth during the knockout stages, they now face a PSG side operating at a different level — both in terms of consistency and firepower. Having already dispatched European powerhouses like Bayern and Real Madrid without conceding, PSG will likely view Chelsea as a lesser threat by comparison. Unless Mauricio Pochettino can pull off something extraordinary against his former club, the final looks set to be one-sided. PSG are not only expected to win — they may very well dominate once again.
