Lanús began the campaign with a 0-2 home defeat to elite newcomers Independiente Rivadavia, followed by a 1-1 draw with San Lorenzo. It is not surprising that with such results, the Garnets are at the bottom of the standings, whereas in the previous campaign they were fourth.
