The confrontation between Teplice and Sparta kicks off the second round of the Czech First League!
In the 2023/24 season, Teplice were in contention to qualify for the Conference League until the very end, but at the decisive moment they lost twice to Hradec Králové (0:1, 0:2) and was left with nothing. Then there were four victories in friendly sparring with Zizkov (1:0), Vlasim (2:0), Warta Poznan (4:1) and Lech (2:0), as well as a collapse from the same Hradec Kralove (0:1 ) in the league.
Reigning league champions Sparta kicked off the campaign with a 2-1 home triumph over Pardubice before finishing well with Shamrock Rovers (2-0) in Champions League qualifying. Considering the high squad potential of the Maroons, they are still among the main contenders for the title.
On the other hand, Teplice play very well against the Prague giants, especially in home matches. We think that due to their busy schedule in European competitions, Sparta will not show their best football and are unlikely to achieve unconditional success.
