Malmo FF vs FC Iberia 1999 Prediction 15 July 2025
Added on 13 July, 2025
On Tuesday night, Malmo will look to safely defend their two-goal advantage in the Champions League qualifiers against Iberia 1999.
The Swedish champions are not enjoying their domestic campaign as much as they had hoped, sitting fifth in the standings and already trailing the leaders by seven points. Their recent form reflects these struggles — a 1-1 draw with Mjällby, a goalless draw with GAIS, and a 3-1 win over Norrköping show a team not quite firing on all cylinders.
Iberia 1999, meanwhile, arrive with little to boast about. The Georgian side has lost both of their recent Super Cup matches, 1-3 to Dila Gori and 0-1 to Torpedo Kutaisi. Their squad lacks the quality to compete even at Europa or Conference League level, and it’s clear they are ill-prepared for the step up to Champions League qualifiers.
Given the circumstances, there’s little reason to expect Malmo to approach this match with any particular urgency. They have a comfortable cushion and will likely focus on controlling the game rather than chasing a big win. A routine, perhaps even uneventful, victory in front of their home supporters seems the most probable scenario here.
Malmo to win by one or two goals 2.10
