Manchester City F.C. vs Exeter City F.C. Prediction 10 January 2026
Added on 08 January, 2026
On Saturday afternoon, Manchester City will face Exeter City in the FA Cup Round of 32.
Manchester City remain one of the strongest teams in Europe and perennial contenders for every domestic trophy. Still, their start to 2026 has been unexpectedly underwhelming. Pep Guardiola’s side opened the year with three consecutive scoreless draws, followed by two 1–1 stalemates against Chelsea and Brighton, leaving City without a win in five matches.
Exeter, meanwhile, have shown solid but unspectacular form in League One. They recorded narrow 1–0 victories over Wimbledon and Luton and shared a 2–2 draw with Huddersfield, results that leave them 14th in England’s third tier. In the FA Cup, the Grecians have impressed, dispatching Halifax 2–0 before thrashing Wycombe 4–0 to reach this stage.
Exeter City now face a vastly different level of opposition. The draw has handed Manchester City an ideal opportunity to snap their winless run, and the gulf in quality between the two sides is substantial. Even with a rotated or semi-reserve lineup, City should have more than enough firepower and control to comfortably progress to the next round.
