A year and a half after the Champions League final, Manchester City and Inter will play each other in the first round of the group stage!
Earlier this season, Manchester City skillfully converted the phenomenal form of their striker Erling Haaland into victories over Chelsea (2:0), Ipswich (4:1), West Ham (3:1) and Brentford (2:1). Thus, the Cityzens have firmly established themselves at the top of the Premier League standings and are approaching the European league in an excellent mood.
Inter, on the other hand, dealt with Lecce (2:0) and Atalanta (4:0) with class, but at the same time, they drew in away duels with Genoa (2:2) and Monza (1:1). By Italian standards, the Nerazzurri remain a formidable force and a potential hegemon, but on the continental arena they will have a much more difficult time.
