Netherlands vs Algeria Prediction 3 June 2026

On June 3, the Netherlands will host Algeria in a friendly match in Rotterdam.

During their previous training camp, the "Orange" team played Norway and Ecuador and failed to win by more than one goal in those matches. What can we expect from the upcoming game and which bets should we pay close attention to? The answer is in our forecast.

In the World Cup qualifying tournament, the Netherlands predictably finished first in their group, three points ahead of Poland. The "Orange" team only dropped points against Poland in qualifying, drawing twice with the same score of 1-1. Ronald Koeman's team impressed with their performances throughout the qualifying tournament, scoring 27 goals in eight matches. During their previous training camp, the Dutch defeated Norway 2-1 and drew 1-1 with Ecuador. Today, Koeman can count on almost all of his strongest players. The only notable absence is key midfielder Xavi Simons due to injury.

Algeria had a relatively easy group in the World Cup qualifying tournament and had no problems securing a spot. The "Greens" earned 25 points over 10 rounds, finishing first, seven points ahead of Uganda. The team didn't have much success at the Africa Cup of Nations, losing 2-0 to Nigeria in the quarterfinals. During their previous training camp, Vladimir Petkovic's men crushed Guatemala 7-0 in a friendly and drew 0-0 with Uruguay.

The opponents can count on almost all of their key players in the upcoming match; preparations for the World Cup are in full swing, and it's highly likely we'll see lineups close to the starting lineup. Algeria should definitely not be underestimated. The African team's roster is almost entirely made up of players from European leagues, and Petkovic has improved his team's defensive play. Winning in Rotterdam won't be easy, but the visitors are capable of avoiding a rout, especially since they've only lost by more than one goal once in the last three seasons.
