Norsk Tipping Extends Norwegian FA Partnership Through 2029 in NOK 60m Deal

Norsk Tipping has renewed its long-standing partnership with the Norwegian Football Association (NFF), extending the agreement through 2029 in a deal reportedly worth around NOK 60m ($6.19m).
The new four-year term, covering 2026 to 2029, continues one of the most enduring commercial relationships in Norwegian sport, dating back to the 1940s.
Under the renewed agreement, the state-owned lottery operator will remain a general partner of the NFF, as well as the top tiers of domestic football: the men’s Eliteserien and the women’s Toppserien. The men’s and women’s senior national teams are also included in the partnership.
The deal was formally presented during the NFF Federal Parliament on 28 February. According to the association, the collaboration will focus not only on elite-level performance but also on strengthening grassroots football across the country. Karl-Petter Løken, General Secretary of the NFF, described Norsk Tipping as a crucial partner, highlighting its long-term contribution to making football “a mainstay in local communities all over Norway.”
Beyond financial backing, the two parties plan to work closely on enhancing both the sporting and commercial aspects of Norwegian football. Joint initiatives will aim to strengthen the national teams, boost recruitment efforts, and grow audiences nationwide. The development of Eliteserien and Toppserien as consumer products will also be a priority, with plans to introduce new matchday concepts and expand digital content offerings.
The extension comes at a challenging time for Norsk Tipping. Over the past two years, the operator has been fined more than NOK 100m due to issues related to technology systems, player protection measures and anti-money laundering compliance. Against that backdrop, the renewed football partnership represents a positive development for the company.
Acting CEO Vegar Strand welcomed the agreement, stating that Norsk Tipping looks forward to contributing both to major moments at the top level and to the everyday work carried out by clubs across Norway.
