Crisis-hit Nottingham Forest and seasoned European contenders Porto will meet in the third round of the Europa League.
Nottingham have not tasted victory since mid-August, enduring a turbulent spell that has already seen two managerial changes and a slide to 18th place in the Premier League. Their return to European competition has been equally frustrating, producing a 2–2 draw with Betis and a 2–3 home defeat to Midtjylland.
Porto, by contrast, are in fine domestic form and currently top the Portuguese league, with their only recent setback coming in a goalless derby against Benfica. Since then, the Dragons have eased past Celoriciense 4–0 in the National Cup and recorded European wins over Salzburg (1–0) and Red Star Belgrade (2–1).
