PSG and Atletico Madrid are set to clash in one of the highlight matches of the fourth round of the Champions League.
The group stage has been tough for PSG, starting with a hard-fought 1-0 win against Girona, followed by a 0-2 loss to Arsenal and a 1-1 draw with PSV. Despite their European struggles, Luis Enrique’s side comfortably leads Ligue 1, having recently secured a routine 1-0 victory over Lens.
Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, continues to maintain their usual third spot in La Liga after a solid 2-0 win over Las Palmas. In the Champions League, however, their form has been inconsistent. The Rojiblancos showcased resilience in a 2-1 comeback victory against RB Leipzig, but suffered heavy defeats to Benfica (0-4) and Lille (1-3).
Given PSG’s home advantage and their superior attacking potential, it’s hard to see Atletico mounting a serious challenge, especially in Paris. Despite Atletico’s discipline, PSG’s aggressive play on home soil should see them emerge as the favorites in this encounter.
