PSG and Flamengo are expected to clash in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup final.
In 2025, PSG have won every trophy available and continue to showcase elite-level football. Just a day earlier, the Parisians edged Metz 3–2 in the French championship, and prior to that they were held to a 0–0 draw by Athletic Bilbao. Both matches were played away from home, where Luis Enrique’s side does not always score freely.
Flamengo, meanwhile, arrive in excellent form. The Brazilian giants claimed both the Série A title and the Copa Libertadores, defeating Palmeiras in each competition. In the Intercontinental Cup semifinals, the Red and Blacks comfortably overcame Pyramids FC (2–0), extending their unbeaten run to seven matches.
Last summer, Flamengo impressed against European heavyweights at the Club World Cup, and their level has remained consistently high since then. For that reason, PSG can expect a demanding contest. Nevertheless, the French champions should ultimately achieve their objective, relying on the superior individual quality within their squad.
