RC Lens vs Paris Saint-Germain FC Prediction 13 May 2026
Added on 11 May, 2026
The spotlight in Ligue 1 will fall on Lens and PSG as the two top teams in the standings meet in a rescheduled Matchday 29 showdown.
Lens has been one of the biggest surprises of the season, firmly establishing itself among France’s elite and practically securing second place. The Blood and Gold currently sit on 67 points with an impressive 62-33 goal difference. Their recent form has been mixed but still highly competitive: victories over Toulouse (3-2) and Nantes (1-0), draws against Brest (3-3) and Nice (1-1), and a heavy 0-3 defeat to Lille in the derby. Even so, Lens continues to impress with its intensity, aggressive pressing, and excellent home performances.
PSG, meanwhile, remains in control of the title race. Since the unexpected 1-2 loss to Lyon in mid-April, the Parisians responded with solid results, drawing 2-2 with Lorient before defeating Nantes (3-0), Angers (3-0), and Brest (1-0). Those victories allowed them to strengthen their position at the top of the table with 73 points and a dominant 71-27 goal record.
Still, motivation could play a key role here. PSG is closing in on another league title and may not approach this match with maximum intensity, especially knowing that even a defeat would leave them comfortably in first place. Lens, on the other hand, has turned its home ground into a fortress this season and will be highly motivated to prove it belongs among the league’s very best. Considering the hosts’ energy and PSG’s potentially relaxed approach, Lens has every chance of at least avoiding defeat.
