In the sixth round of La Liga, newly promoted Real Oviedo will host a strong Barcelona side.
Oviedo’s season so far has been tough: their only win came in a narrow 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad, while they suffered heavy defeats to Villarreal (0-2), Real Madrid (0-3), Getafe (0-2), and Elche (0-1). With just three points and a 1-8 goal difference, the Asturians sit seventeenth in the table, still adjusting to the top flight.
Barcelona, on the other hand, have been in impressive form. They have dominated their matches with victories over Mallorca (3-0), Levante (3-2), Valencia (6-0), and Getafe (3-0), along with a 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano. With 13 points and a 16:3 goal difference, the Blaugrana are second in the standings, just two points behind the leaders.
Given the clear gulf in quality, Barcelona are the heavy favorites. While Oviedo is still finding its footing, they are unlikely to resist the attacking power of one of Spain’s top teams. A comfortable away win for the visitors seems the most probable outcome.
