S.C. Braga vs Feyenoord Prediction 24 September 2025

The opening round of the Europa League continues in Portugal, where Braga will host Dutch champions Feyenoord.

Braga have built a reputation as solid continental performers, often reaching the knockout rounds in recent years. However, their domestic form this season has been inconsistent. After convincing early Cup wins over Tondela (3-0) and Alverca (3-0), the Gunners faltered in the Primeira Liga—drawing with Arouca (2-2), Rio Ave (2-2), and Guimarães (1-1), while also suffering a defeat to Gil Vicente (0-1). Their attacking play remains creative, but defensive lapses have been costly.

Feyenoord, by contrast, are flying in the Eredivisie. Arne Slot’s men strung together five straight wins—against Breda (2-0), Excelsior (2-1), Sparta Rotterdam (4-0), Heerenveen (1-0), and Fortuna Sittard (2-0)—before conceding a stoppage-time equalizer in a thrilling 3-3 away draw at AZ Alkmaar. Sitting top of the Dutch league, Feyenoord look well-balanced and sharp both in attack and defense.

Given their current form, Feyenoord enter this clash as the more confident and in-form side. Braga will try to rely on their European pedigree and home support to at least salvage a point, but against the dynamic and disciplined Rotterdam outfit, even a draw may be the best they can hope for.
