S.C. Braga vs Levski Sofia Prediction 31 July 2025

The return leg of the Europa League second qualifying round between Braga and Levski Sofia will take place this Thursday, with everything to play for after a goalless first leg in Bulgaria.

Braga, who secured a fourth-place finish in the Portuguese Primeira Liga last season, are entering the European campaign with strong ambition and solid preparation. The Archbishops approached this tie seriously, winning all of their summer friendlies, including notable victories over Pasos de Ferreira (1-0), Wolfsberger (2-0), Panathinaikos (2-1), Moreirense (2-0), and Celta Vigo (3-1). These results suggest that Braga are in excellent form and gradually building rhythm ahead of the competitive stretch.

Levski, meanwhile, have been very active throughout July, balancing domestic and European duties. In the Bulgarian First League, they’ve started perfectly with wins over Montana (5-0) and Septemvri (2-1), showing offensive promise. On the continental front, they advanced past Hapoel Beer-Sheva with a solid 2-1 aggregate result (0-0 away, 2-1 home), but their inability to find the net at home against Braga last week may prove costly.

With home advantage and a more technically gifted and deeper squad, Braga head into the second leg as clear favorites. Levski may be well-drilled and resilient, but holding off a Braga side that’s clicking into gear in front of their home fans will be a tall order. Expect Braga to take control of the match, and it would not be surprising to see them win by at least two goals to secure progression.
