SC Braga vs Real Betis Prediction 8 April 2026
Added on 06 April, 2026
The Europa League quarterfinal clash between Braga and Betis is set for Wednesday, with both sides coming in under very different momentum.
Braga currently sit fourth in the Portuguese league, a position that secures European football for next season. They recently reinforced their strong domestic form with a narrow 1–0 victory over Moreirense. On the European stage, Braga have also looked convincing, comfortably dispatching Ferencváros with a 2–0 away win followed by an emphatic 4–0 performance at home.
Betis, meanwhile, benefited from finishing in the top eight during the league phase, allowing them to skip an extra playoff round. However, their recent form has been far less convincing. Although they managed to get past Panathinaikos in the round of 16 (losing 0–1 away but responding with a dominant 4–0 win at home), their domestic struggles continue. A goalless draw against Espanyol extended their La Liga winless streak to six matches, raising concerns about their consistency.
Given the current form of both teams, Braga appear better positioned heading into this first leg. Playing at home, they should be able to dictate the tempo and create chances, making them favorites to at least avoid defeat. Betis may still have the quality to turn things around in the return leg, especially with home advantage, but for now, Braga look likely to take control of the tie midweek.
