On Thursday afternoon in Munich, there will be a match of the Euro 2024 matchday 2 in Group C between the national teams of Slovenia and Serbia!
On paper, Slovenia were the main underdogs of the quartet, but a 1:1 draw with Denmark quickly refuted this status. And before the start of the continental forum, the guys looked very good in confrontations with Malta (2:2), Portugal (2:0), Armenia (2:1) and Bulgaria (1:1).
In preparation for Euro 2024, Serbia alternated victories over Cyprus (1:0) and Sweden (3:0) with fiascoes against Russia (0:4) and Austria (1:2). And during the final tournament, the White Eagles lost minimally 0:1 to the main group favorites England and temporarily fell back to fourth position.
The Serbian squad potential is slightly higher, but Slovenia are strong due to their well-coordinated team play and excellent microclimate within the team. We are sure that due to these qualities the nominal hosts will at least not lose.
