Spain U21 vs England U21 Prediction 21 June 2025

Spain U21 and England U21 are set to clash in the quarterfinals of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, in a rematch of the tournament’s final from two years ago.

This time, however, Spain appear to be the stronger side both on paper and in performance.

La Rojita topped their group with seven points and a 6:4 goal difference, showcasing resilience and determination. They edged Slovakia (3:2) and hosts Romania (2:1) with late winners and held Italy to a competitive 1:1 draw. Their ability to push until the final whistle and convert chances under pressure underlines their high ambitions and strong mentality heading into the knockout stage.

In contrast, England’s campaign has been uneven. They began with a confident 3:1 victory over the Czech Republic, but their momentum quickly faded with a dull 0:0 draw against Slovenia and a 1:2 loss to Germany’s second-string side. Finishing second in their group with just four points and a modest +1 goal difference, the Young Lions have struggled with consistency and attacking fluency.

While England triumphed in the previous final, Spain currently boast better form, sharper attacking play, and greater tactical cohesion. Unless England raise their level significantly, Spain should have the edge and are more likely to progress to the semifinals.
