The twenty-first round of La Liga will give us an interesting confrontation between Valencia and Athletic!
At the equator of the league season, Valencia gained excellent form, thanks to which they won three victories in a row over Rayo Vallecano (1:0), Villarreal (3:1) and Cadiz (4:1). At this rate, the Bats have already risen to eighth position with 29 points, a goal difference of 26:24 and good chances to finish in the European Cup spot.
However, Athletic's performance is even better - third place, 41 points and a goal statistic of 38:20. Back in early December, the Lions tied 1:1 with Granada, and then in turn they were defeated by Atlético (2:0), Las Palmas (1:0), Sevilla (2:0) and Real Sociedad (2:1) - fairly strong and unyielding opponents.
We have no doubt that Athletic wants to continue its triumphant march after the match at Mestalla, but Valencia are now on a good run. In such situations, we are in for a rather exciting spectacle with an exchange of effective shots.
