Allwyn UK Expands Family Support with 12 Weeks’ Paid Leave for Critical Child Care
Last update: 03 April, 2026
The policy applies to employees who have completed at least 26 weeks of service and covers children aged between 29 days and 18 years.
The initiative represents a significant expansion of the company’s existing family support framework. Previously, Allwyn UK offered paid leave for parents of critically ill newborns under a neonatal care policy covering children up to 29 days old. By extending eligibility to older children, the company aims to support a wider range of family circumstances and reduce the financial and emotional strain faced by employees during prolonged periods of care.
The policy is part of a broader commitment by Allwyn UK to enhance workplace benefits and foster a supportive working environment. The company, which employs around 1,400 people, already provides equal maternity and paternity leave of 16 weeks at full pay, followed by an additional 16 weeks at 50% pay. The same structure is also available to adoptive parents, reinforcing the organization’s emphasis on inclusivity and family-focused policies.
Sam Sheriff, Chief People and Performance Officer at Allwyn UK, emphasized the importance of supporting employees during challenging times. He noted that the company recognizes situations where staff must prioritize their families and wants to ensure they do not have to worry about work or financial stability while caring for a seriously ill child. Sheriff added that the new policy formalizes a level of support the company has always sought to provide, while acknowledging the difficult and highly stressful nature of such circumstances.
Alongside these developments in employee benefits, Allwyn Group has reported steady financial growth. In its FY2025 results, the company recorded total revenue of €8.99 billion, representing a 4% year-on-year increase. Net revenue also rose by 4% to €4.11 billion.
This performance was partly driven by continued digital expansion, with online net gaming revenue increasing by 11%. Adjusted EBITDA reached €1.58 billion, also reflecting a 4% rise compared to the previous year. These results highlight the company’s ongoing momentum as it continues to strengthen its presence across regulated markets.
Overall, the introduction of this extended paid leave policy underscores Allwyn UK’s focus on employee wellbeing, aligning its people strategy with its broader growth and operational objectives.
