Don.ro Named Main Sponsor of CFR Cluj as Soft2Bet Expands Romanian Presence
Soft2Bet has announced a landmark multi-year partnership between its Romanian-facing brand Don.ro and Liga 1 football giants CFR 1907 Cluj, marking a major step in the company’s strategic growth across regulated European markets.

Beginning with the 2025–26 season, Don.ro will become the main sponsor of the club, with its branding to appear prominently on home and away kits, training gear, and throughout the Dr Constantin Rădulescu stadium.

This sponsorship aligns with Soft2Bet’s broader push into the Romanian market, and follows the company’s successful entries into other key jurisdictions including Greece, Spain, and most recently, the United States through a deal with Caesars Entertainment in New Jersey. The partnership is not only about visibility—it also includes a wide range of fan engagement initiatives both on matchdays and through digital platforms, reinforcing Soft2Bet’s reputation for localized, gamified entertainment experiences.

CFR Cluj President Cristian Balaj welcomed the announcement, stating: “The fact that Don.ro is becoming the main partner of our club is both a validation of the work we do every day and an important step in strengthening CFR Cluj’s image both nationally and internationally.”

Don.ro, launched in 2024, operates on Soft2Bet’s proprietary MEGA platform, which enables a gamified user experience and supports various responsible gaming tools. Although not all features are currently activated in Romania due to local regulatory requirements, Soft2Bet continues to adapt its offerings to align with national guidelines. For example, some social gaming-style interfaces are presently inactive following guidance from Romanian authorities.

As part of the sponsorship package, Don.ro will also roll out special initiatives for CFR fans, including a jersey giveaway for all season ticket holders and a shared commitment to promoting responsible gambling practices. A Don.ro spokesperson emphasized this ethical approach, noting, “At Don.ro, we are committed to promoting a safe and balanced entertainment environment.”

Soft2Bet’s Chief Marketing Officer Oksana Tsyhankova added: “Don.ro’s partnership with CFR Cluj embodies this vision, combining a top-performing club with our drive for tailored gamified experiences, product excellence, and a passion for performance.”

With this high-profile football partnership, Soft2Bet strengthens its footprint in Romania, pairing brand visibility with meaningful local engagement while continuing to expand its international reach.
