Grid partners with Sportstensor to power Polymarket’s esports prediction markets with official data!
Last update: 08 November, 2025
The collaboration aims to bring greater transparency, accuracy and innovation to how esports events are represented and settled on-chain.
Under the agreement, Grid becomes Sportstensor’s official esports data oracle, providing live, rights-compliant match data across major titles such as Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant. The company’s access to official in-game data—secured through exclusive partnerships with publishers and tournament organisers—will power Polymarket’s esports markets with verified results and real-time statistics.
In decentralised ecosystems, data oracles act as trusted bridges that transmit verified real-world information, such as match outcomes or in-game events, to blockchain-based smart contracts. This ensures that market settlements occur automatically and accurately, based on tamper-proof, verifiable data. By using Grid’s official feed, Sportstensor can guarantee that each market outcome on Polymarket is anchored in authentic and rights-compliant data.
According to Grid, the integration of its server-level data will expand both the depth and integrity of esports prediction markets. The company says this verified data layer enables the creation of new and more complex market types—ranging from traditional win/loss outcomes to micro-events such as the total number of chickens eliminated in a Counter-Strike 2 tournament—while ensuring all settlements remain transparent and automated on-chain.
“Prediction markets are one of the fastest-growing frontiers for digital engagement,” said Dominika Szot, VP of Growth at Grid. “Esports, being inherently digital, fits perfectly within that ecosystem. Integrity in settlement is essential, and official data provides the foundation to ensure fairness, transparency and trust while adding new dimensions of entertainment value.”
Leo Chan, Co-Founder and CEO of Sportstensor, added: “Prediction markets depend on trust—not just between traders, but in the accuracy of outcomes that underpin every contract. By partnering with Grid, we can ensure that our esports markets are settled with verified, rights-compliant data directly from the source. This allows us to design richer and more engaging experiences for Polymarket users.”
The deal reinforces Grid’s position as a leading provider of official esports data and aligns with its broader mission to extend verified in-game information into emerging digital verticals such as prediction markets, supporting a more transparent, data-driven online economy.
