iGP Secures Romanian B2B Licence to Expand European iGaming Footprint
Last update: 13 January, 2026
This regulatory milestone allows the company to offer its full suite of services to Romanian operators, reinforcing its strategy of focusing exclusively on B2B solutions.
Since launching as iGaming Platform in 2016, iGP has continuously evolved its business model. After discontinuing its white-label product, the company shifted its attention entirely to B2B offerings, aiming to deliver more robust technology, greater control, and scalable solutions to its operator partners. The Romanian licence represents a significant step in this journey, expanding iGP’s reach within Europe while aligning with its broader growth objectives.
Jovana Popović Čanaki, CEO of iGP, commented on the approval: “The Romanian B2B licence reflects iGP’s evolution into a focused B2B technology partner, built to support operators with stability, control and long-term scalability anywhere they need us.”
With the licence in place, iGP can now provide Romanian operators with a range of products, including its GLI-19-certified core platform, games aggregation services, turnkey casino and sportsbook solutions, and innovative crypto offerings first showcased at ICE 2025 in Barcelona. The company plans to attend ICE again this year, likely highlighting its expanding lottery portfolio, which began rolling out last year.
Speaking about the upcoming industry event, Popović Čanaki said: “At ICE Barcelona, we will be demonstrating how this foundation supports real operator needs, from platform and turnkey performance to player engagement.” The CEO emphasized that iGP’s solutions are designed to meet the operational demands of modern operators, combining flexibility with compliance and scalability.
In a January interview for the CEO Special edition of Global Gaming Insider, Popović Čanaki also reflected on the wider European iGaming market. She expressed optimism about growth potential but noted that operators must navigate increasingly strict regulation. “The EU iGaming market will continue to grow, but regulation is set to become even tougher, with stricter rules, higher compliance requirements, and increased pressure from national regulators, including changes to taxation regimes,” she stated.
iGP’s Romanian licence is not only a strategic expansion but also a reaffirmation of its commitment to being a reliable B2B technology partner for operators seeking comprehensive, compliant, and future-proof solutions across Europe.
