Octoplay Enters U.S. Market with BetMGM Launch in New Jersey, Expanding North American Footprint
Octoplay has officially launched its game content in New Jersey through a strategic partnership with BetMGM, marking the supplier’s first operational entry into the United States.

This debut in the Garden State represents a major milestone for Octoplay as it expands beyond its established European footprint and into the burgeoning North American iGaming market.

The New Jersey rollout builds upon an earlier collaboration between Octoplay and BetMGM in Ontario, where the companies introduced a custom-built jackpot system known as Jackpot Blitz. That integration laid the foundation for their expanded relationship, with New Jersey now serving as Octoplay’s initial U.S. hub. The supplier currently holds a provisional licence in New Jersey and was recently granted another in Michigan, positioning it for further U.S. expansion.

Octoplay’s arrival in New Jersey comes as part of a wider commercial strategy for 2025, centered on balancing growth across mature European markets with early-stage entry into regulated U.S. states. The company already boasts active licences in 10 European jurisdictions, including the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Malta. Its games portfolio has been rapidly gaining traction, averaging five new operator integrations per month and signing over 80 agreements globally.

The supplier’s recent moves reinforce this dual-regional approach. In May 2025, Octoplay partnered with Denmark’s national operator Danske Spil, following successful integrations with Svenska Spel in Sweden and Jacks.nl in the Netherlands. In the UK, Octoplay entered the market through a deal with Rank Group, and further expanded its Dutch presence via an agreement with JOI Gaming.

Commenting on the U.S. debut, Ralitsa Georgieva, Director of Business Development at Octoplay, described the New Jersey launch as a “critical milestone” in the company's strategic roadmap. “It validates our North American ambitions and lays the groundwork for broader deployment as additional states open up,” she said.

Oliver Bartlett, VP of Gaming at BetMGM, expressed confidence in Octoplay’s content, noting its strong performance in other regulated markets. “We’re excited to bring Octoplay’s titles to New Jersey players, and based on past success, we expect them to resonate well in the U.S.,” he said.

As regulatory momentum grows in the United States, Octoplay appears well-positioned to become a major player in the iGaming sector, leveraging its European success to fuel long-term North American growth.
