Churchill Downs Incorporated has embarked on an exciting new venture, forming a multi-year partnership with SAP America, a leading global technology company!

This collaboration sees SAP become the official signature partner of Churchill Downs Racetrack, the renowned Kentucky Derby, and the esteemed Kentucky Oaks. As part of this landmark agreement, SAP will take on the prestigious role of the first official technology partner for Churchill Downs Racetrack, enhancing the digital experience for attendees and enthusiasts alike.

One of the highlights of this partnership is the introduction of the SAP Starting Gate Suites, a deluxe collection of suites that promise to elevate the hospitality experience at Churchill Downs. Additionally, SAP will be the presenting partner for the Kentucky Derby and Churchill Downs mobile applications, ushering in a new era of technological innovation for these iconic events.

Bill Mudd, President and COO of CDI, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting SAP's global reputation for innovation and growth. He eagerly anticipates SAP's presence at the historic 150th running of the Kentucky Derby, scheduled for the first Saturday in May.

Lloyd Adams, President of SAP America, echoed Mudd's sentiments, emphasizing the significance of collaborating with such a storied event as the Kentucky Derby. Adams emphasized SAP's dedication to innovation and expressed his eagerness to assist CDI in leveraging SAP's expertise and technology to drive the company's growth.

In addition to the partnership with SAP, Churchill Downs Incorporated has recently announced its collaboration with Sports Illustrated, securing naming rights for Club SI, an exclusive dining experience at the Kentucky Derby. Club SI will debut during Derby Week on May 4, 2024, offering guests a sophisticated dining experience centered around the world of equine sports, with breathtaking views of the new Paddock and Paddock Runway.

These initiatives are part of CDI's ambitious $200 million renovations leading up to the historic 150th running of the Kentucky Derby, underscoring the company's commitment to enhancing the overall experience for attendees and fans.

Furthermore, Churchill Downs Incorporated has unveiled Derby City Gaming Downtown, a cutting-edge gaming facility inspired by the Kentucky Derby theme. Boasting Historical Racing Machines (HRMs), a race and sportsbook, and a Kentucky Derby Gift Shop, this venue promises to offer a unique entertainment experience for visitors. Its opening has also significantly contributed to the local economy, creating over 150 permanent jobs in the area.
