Soft2Bet, a leading provider of online betting and gaming solutions, has reached a significant milestone with the acquisition of the Certificate of Registration from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)!

This achievement marks Soft2Bet's entry into the dynamic Canadian province of Ontario and represents a crucial step toward the launch of its iGaming brand.

The move comes at a pivotal time for Ontario's iGaming market, which has seen remarkable growth in recent years. According to the latest figures from the fourth quarter of 2023, operators recorded a substantial increase in wagers and gross gaming revenue. Wagers surged by 21% to CA$17.2 billion, while gross gaming revenue experienced a 22% growth, reaching CA$658 million.

In addition to its expansion into Ontario, Soft2Bet is actively pursuing opportunities for further growth across North America. The company is currently focused on securing a license to operate in the lucrative state of New Jersey, underscoring its commitment to establishing a strong presence in the region.

Elisabeth Isaksson, Soft2Bet's Head of Regulatory Compliance, emphasized the significance of obtaining registration in Ontario. Isaksson praised the dedication of the compliance and regulatory teams, whose efforts have enabled Soft2Bet to expand into major regulated markets. She expressed excitement about the company's foray into North America and its prospects for future licensing and launches in the region.

Martin Collins, Soft2Bet's Chief Business Development Officer, highlighted the Ontario certification as a crucial milestone in the company's expansion strategy. Collins reaffirmed Soft2Bet's commitment to growing its regulatory footprint and expressed optimism about the journey ahead.

In related developments, Hacksaw Gaming and DraftKings recently announced a partnership in Ontario, signaling the growing opportunities and partnerships in the Canadian iGaming market.
