Tombola and Sisal Join Forces to Boost Online Bingo Market in Italy
Last update: 16 July, 2025
This collaboration marks Tombola’s first venture into a platform-sharing model and signals a key step in Flutter’s broader strategy to enhance cross-brand synergies within its international operations.
Under the terms of the agreement, Tombola’s proprietary bingo platform will now power Sisal’s digital bingo offering. While the games will continue to carry Sisal’s branding and maintain their local identity, the underlying technology and infrastructure will be provided by Tombola. This integration not only elevates the technical capabilities of Sisal’s bingo product but also broadens the player experience through the introduction of shared liquidity between the two brands.
One of the standout outcomes of this partnership is the launch of Super Bingo, a new 75-ball bingo variant designed to deliver larger full house prizes by combining the player pools of both Tombola and Sisal. This shared liquidity model enables bigger guaranteed jackpots and a more dynamic, engaging bingo environment, offering Italian players access to a wider range of bingo formats and higher-value rewards than previously available.
Looking ahead, the partnership is set to expand beyond bingo. Later this year, Tombola’s suite of casino products will also become available through Sisal’s platform. This rollout will include player chat functionalities and side games, further enhancing the sense of community and interactivity that are hallmarks of Tombola’s product offering. By bringing these additional features to Sisal’s user base, Flutter aims to cultivate a more diverse, multi-product gaming environment.
Commenting on the partnership, Rosangela Robbiani, Chief People Officer for Flutter Southern Europe and Africa (SEA), highlighted Italy’s growing role as a key market for collaboration within Flutter’s portfolio: “We’re thrilled to see this combination happening, as Italy proves once again to be a fertile ground for collaboration across Flutter’s brands.”
Tombola Managing Director Marion Ryan added: “This is a hugely exciting moment for Tombola as we take the next step in our evolution and bring our award-winning bingo product to Sisal’s players in Italy. The ability to seamlessly integrate and scale our platform for future partnerships represents a fantastic opportunity for Flutter to transform the bingo proposition, both within our existing markets and beyond.”
For context, Flutter Entertainment completed its acquisition of Tombola in November 2021 for £402 million and acquired Sisal in August 2022 for £1.62 billion.
