At the moment, it is Liverpool that are the sole leaders of the league standings with 51 points in its asset, a goal difference of 52:22 and a two-point lead over their closest pursuers. Prior to the match, the Reds lost 1:3 to Arsenal, but before that they got four victories in a row over Burnley (2:0), Newcastle (4:2), Bournemouth (4:0) and Chelsea (4:1).
Burnley, which have returned to the elite, are having an extremely weak season and risk very quickly dropping back into the Championship.
