In the last chronological quarterfinal of the French Cup, the main favorites of the tournament, PSG, will compete with the crisis-ridden Nice!
Fighting on three fronts, PSG temporarily slowed down in the league, where in the previous four meetings they won three draws with Rennes (1:1), Monaco (2:2) and Reims (2:2) with a single victory over Nantes (2:0). In the Cup, the Parisians in turn crushed Revel 9:0, Orleans 4:1 and Brest 3:1.
Nice dealt with Auxerre (1:0), Bordeaux (3:2) and Montpellier (4:1), but after that there was a serious decline in the team’s play. Only one draw and four defeats over the past month - and instead of fighting for the Champions League zone, the Eaglets are occupying only sixth position in Ligue 1 with 40 points and a modest goal difference of 25:19.
As we see, Nice never learned to attack, but at the same time forgot how to defend. We are confident that the Eaglets will be easy prey for PSG, who will approach the cup battle with a higher level of motivation than usual.
