A week ago, Atlético earned themselves a one-goal handicap over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League quarterfinals. Will the Spaniards maintain their advantage?
Five games before the end of the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund occupy only fifth position, even despite a 2:1 away victory over Borussia Monchengladbach. But in the Champions League round of 16, the Black-and-Yellows, in a rather pragmatic manner, were stronger than PSV - 1:1 away and 2:0 at home.
At the same time, Atletico made a spectacular comeback in the confrontation with Inter (0:1, 2:1), thanks to which they left one of their main favorites out of the tournament. In La Liga, Los Colchoneros are in the top four, helped by their recent 3:1 victory over Girona.
As for us, Borussia Dortmund have a good chance of trying to turn the tide of the confrontation in their favor, given Atlético’s pathological inability to play away. At least the Black-and-Yellows will at least win a draw.
