The national teams of Colombia and Panama will compete in the 2024 Copa America quarter-finals!
Colombia have not known the bitterness of defeat for two and a half years, which makes them one of the main contenders for success in the tournament. It should be noted that at the group stage the Coffees scored seven points in three meetings with Paraguay (2:1), Costa Rica (3:0) and Brazil (1:1), thanks to which they took a favorable first place.
The key moment for Panama was their 2:1 victory over the USA, which allowed the rather modest team to finish second in Quartet C. In addition, the Sewers easily defeated a frankly dead Bolivia 3:1, and in the first round they lost 1:3 to Uruguay.
Right now, Colombia look much more solid than Panama, for which reaching the playoffs is already a huge achievement. We believe that at least in one half the underdog will force the favorites to fight, but they won’t be able to do more than that.
