The Scottish Premiership matchday 1 game between Celtic and Kilmarnock is scheduled for next Sunday!
Celtic approaches the reporting game as champions of the country, as well as the main contenders for gold medals in the new campaign. We would like to note that the Celts had a brilliant pre-season training camp. During it, they beat Queen's Park 6:4, DC United 4:0, Manchester City 4:3 and Chelsea 4:1, and also drew 1:1 with Ayr.
This week, Kilmarnock left the European leagues, capitulating to Cercle Brugge (1:1, 0:1) in the Conference League qualification. But Killie finished the 2023/24 season in an honorable fifth place, which is a serious achievement for such a modest team.
Celtic are currently in good shape and are clearly determined to continue their goal-scoring extravaganza. We don't think that with this situation Kilmarnock will be a worthy competitor to them.
