Next Wednesday we will see another match of the English League Cup round of 128, in which Leeds will face Middlesbrough!
Following the results of the previous campaign, Leeds had a chance to return to the Premier League, but in the Championship final they ingloriously lost 0:1 to Southampton. The other day, the Peacocks had a goal shootout with Portsmouth (3:3), and before that they had friendly sparring matches with Harrogate (3:0) and Valencia (2:1).
At the very start of the pre-season training camp, Middlesbrough suffered a 0:2 defeat from Guimaraes, after which they beat Bolton 3:0, Gateshead 1:0, Doncaster 5:3 and Heerenveen 1:0, and also drew 0:0 with Harrogate. And in the first round of the Championship, the Rivermen beat Swansea - 1:0.
Leeds' squad potential is much higher, and the home arena factor will play in their favor. We'll risk suggesting that there will be no surprises in this pair.
