Sportradar Expands into the Microbetting Market through Strategic Partnership with Tennis Data Innovations!
Global sports technology company Sportradar has announced its expansion into the microbetting sector through a strategic partnership with Tennis Data Innovations (TDI)!

The collaboration aims to harness advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven insights to offer highly engaging, short-term betting markets during live tennis matches. This move positions Sportradar to tap into a niche yet rapidly growing segment of the sports betting industry.

Microbetting, which allows wagers on specific events that occur within the context of a game rather than on its overall outcome, has seen increasing popularity among bettors. Sportradar’s partnership with TDI will enable players to place bets on granular, in-game outcomes during tennis matches, such as whether the next serve will be an ace, whether the next point will be won by a forehand or backhand, or whether a rally will end in a double fault. Other wagerable verticals will include predicting the total number of points per shot, the last stroke of a rally (whether it’s a serve, return, or volley), and even the next break point. With these new offerings, Sportradar aims to provide an impressive 1,500 microbetting options per match.

Sportradar’s foray into tennis microbetting builds on the company’s previous success in offering similar markets in sports such as football and table tennis. The group's knowledge and experience in these sports will help inform its strategies as it enters the highly competitive tennis betting landscape. This expansion aligns with Sportradar’s broader mission to elevate the fan experience through innovative betting options that heighten engagement and provide more ways to interact with live sports.

Karl Danzer, Senior Vice President of Odds Services at Sportradar, commented on the development: “The introduction of micro markets underscores Sportradar’s commitment to leading the industry with advanced proprietary technology. By leveraging AI and comprehensive data, we’re offering clients unparalleled opportunities to engage their customers and generate new revenue streams across popular sports like tennis.”

This latest initiative is not limited to tennis. Sportradar has also outlined plans to broaden its microbetting offerings across other major sports, including American football, basketball, baseball, and ice hockey. By expanding its microbetting portfolio, Sportradar seeks to further solidify its position as a global leader in sports technology and betting solutions.

The announcement follows Sportradar’s release of its Q2 financial results, which showcased robust company-wide growth. Revenue for the quarter reached €278.4 million ($304.2 million), reflecting a 29% year-on-year increase. Particularly noteworthy was the 59% growth in U.S. revenue, underscoring the company’s expanding presence in the lucrative North American market. Additionally, Sportradar’s AI simulations recently identified Kansas City as a top contender to win the professional football championship in February 2025, further highlighting the company’s commitment to utilizing cutting-edge AI technology.

As Sportradar continues to innovate and expand its offerings, the partnership with TDI marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey to lead the charge in microbetting, offering a new era of interactive, real-time sports wagering experiences.
