Bayern's current European campaign has been a rollercoaster. While they secured dominant home victories against Dinamo Zagreb (9:2) and Benfica (1:0), away games have been less favorable, with defeats to Aston Villa (0:1) and Barcelona (1:4). These mixed results leave Bayern in a disappointing 17th place with six points and a goal difference of 11:7—far from their usual standards.
PSG’s performance has also fallen short of expectations. A narrow 1:0 win over Girona and a 1:1 draw with PSV are overshadowed by losses to Arsenal (0:2) and Atletico Madrid (1:2). These struggles place the Parisians in 25th, outside the playoff zone, with four points and a 3:5 goal difference.
With the home crowd's backing, Bayern will aim to replicate their success from the winter of 2023, when they twice eliminated PSG. Given Munich’s potent attack, another victory seems within reach.
