SV Wehen Wiesbaden vs FC Bayern Munich Prediction 27 August 2025
Added on 25 August, 2025
In the postponed clash of the DFB-Pokal 1/32 finals, Bayern Munich will travel to face SV Wehen Wiesbaden, a representative of the 3. Bundesliga.
Wehen have shown themselves as a spirited, attacking side at the start of their league campaign, entertaining fans with high-scoring matches. Their recent games reflect this: a dramatic 3:4 defeat to Rot-Weiss Essen, a convincing 3:1 victory over Ulm, and a 2:2 draw against Verl. Such results keep the Wiesbadeners in the middle of the table, though defensive instability remains their biggest issue.
Bayern, meanwhile, have picked up right where they left off last season. The record champions demolished RB Leipzig 6:0 in the Bundesliga opener and look set to dominate the league once again thanks to their immense squad depth and quality. The only blot on their summer was an early exit from the Club World Cup, where they fell 0:2 to PSG in the quarterfinals. Still, that disappointment seems only to have sharpened their focus domestically.
Given Bayern’s blistering form and the gulf in class, it is hard to see Wehen mounting any resistance. Even with a rotated squad, Thomas Tuchel’s men should have little trouble advancing. Anything other than a heavy Bayern win would be considered a shock of the highest order.
