On Thursday evening, the return leg of the Europa League qualifiers will be held in Lublin, where Dynamo Kyiv will face Maccabi Tel Aviv on neutral ground.
The Ukrainian champions have started their domestic campaign brightly, recording victories over Veres (1:0), Rukh (5:1), and Epicenter (4:1). In Europe, Dynamo began confidently by thrashing Hamrun Spartans (3:0, 3:0), but in the next round of Champions League qualification they stumbled, falling twice to Paphos (0:1, 0:2).
Interestingly, Maccabi Tel Aviv’s European path has mirrored Dynamo’s. Given the circumstances, Dynamo enter the second leg trailing by two goals after the first match. While the Ukrainian side boasts pedigree and attacking firepower, their mood and form in continental competitions appear fragile. Maccabi, on the other hand, look more disciplined and resilient at this stage.
