Saturday’s Premier League schedule will conclude in Sunderland, where the newly promoted Black Cats host leaders Arsenal at the Stadium of Light.
A quarter of the way through the season, Sunderland’s return to the top flight has been nothing short of sensational. Tony Mowbray’s side sit fourth with 18 points and a goal difference of 12–8. Over the past month, they’ve claimed impressive wins over Nottingham Forest (1–0), Wolverhampton (2–0), and Chelsea (2–1), drawn 1–1 with Everton, and fallen only to Manchester United (0–2).
