The final spot in the English League Cup semi-finals will be decided in a London derby as Arsenal host Crystal Palace at the Emirates.
Arsenal arrive in excellent shape. Hard-fought Premier League victories over Wolverhampton Wanderers (2–1) and Everton (1–0) have kept the Gunners at the top of the table, while they remain unbeaten after six Champions League rounds. Their League Cup campaign has been straightforward so far, with comfortable 2–0 wins over Port Vale and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Crystal Palace, however, should not be underestimated. The Eagles were sensational FA Cup winners in the 2024/25 season, underlining their resilience and ability to rise to big occasions. En route to the Round of 16, they edged past Millwall (2–1) and demolished Liverpool (3–0). That said, their confidence took a hit just days ago with a heavy 4–1 defeat to Leeds United.
Both sides have shown intensity and commitment this season, but the quality gap is hard to ignore. With home advantage and momentum on their side, Mikel Arteta’s team look well placed to assert control and book their place in the semi-finals with a convincing performance in this all-capital clash.
