Mozambique vs Cameroon Prediction 31 December 2025
Added on 29 December, 2025
On the last day of 2025, Mozambique and Cameroon will meet in a decisive third-round clash at the African Cup of Nations.
Mozambique have been one of the quiet surprises of the group. A narrow 0–1 loss to hosts Côte d’Ivoire was followed by a dramatic 3–2 victory over Gabon, leaving the Mambas third in Group F with three points and a balanced 3–3 goal difference. Crucially, they still have a realistic chance of reaching the knockout stage.
Cameroon, meanwhile, sit at the top of the group with four points and a 2–1 goal difference. The Indomitable Lions opened with a hard-fought 1–0 win over Gabon before earning a strategically valuable 1–1 draw against Côte d’Ivoire. As usual, their approach has been pragmatic, disciplined, and results-oriented.
It is difficult to imagine Mozambique producing another open, high-scoring affair against a Cameroon side that excels at controlling tempo and limiting risk. With qualification on the line for both teams, caution is likely to outweigh ambition, especially in the early stages. Cameroon have little incentive to open the game up, while Mozambique will be wary of overcommitting and exposing themselves defensively.
All signs point toward a tense, tightly contested encounter, where margins will be small and chances at a premium.
