VfB Stuttgart vs BSC Young Boys Prediction 29 January 2026
Added on 27 January, 2026
In one of the fixtures of the eighth round of the Europa League, Stuttgart will look to overcome the resistance of Young Boys.
The German side’s recent European form has been mixed but largely convincing. Victories over Feyenoord (2–0), Go Ahead Eagles (4–0), and Maccabi Tel Aviv (4–1) demonstrated Stuttgart’s attacking potential, while narrow defeats to Fenerbahçe (0–1) and Roma (0–2) highlighted the challenges they faced against more experienced continental opponents. After five matches, Stuttgart have collected 12 points, boast a goal difference of 12–7, and currently sit 13th in the standings.
Young Boys, by contrast, have produced far more modest results. The Swiss side occupy 23rd place with nine points and a negative goal difference of 8–13. Their recent wins over Ludogorets (3–2) and Lille (1–0) came at home, but those positives were largely overshadowed by heavy and costly defeats to PAOK (0–4), Aston Villa (1–2), and Lyon (0–1), exposing their struggles away from Bern.
Stuttgart have been particularly strong at home, suffering just one defeat all season — and that came against an outstanding Bayern Munich side. Given their consistency on home soil and the clear gap in overall quality, it is difficult to imagine Young Boys posing a serious obstacle to the Swabians’ pursuit of another home victory.
Stuttgart to win with -1.5 Asian handicap 1.91
