Czechia vs Denmark Prediction 31 March 2026
Added on 29 March, 2026
The Czech Republic and Denmark will meet in a decisive playoff for a place at the 2026 World Cup.
The Czechs have not appeared at the tournament since 2006, though they remain regular participants at the European Championship. In this qualifying cycle, they finished second in a relatively manageable group and advanced through a tense playoff against Ireland, drawing 2–2 after extra time before prevailing on penalties.
Denmark, meanwhile, showed their attacking potential with a convincing 4–0 win over North Macedonia. However, their recent record has been inconsistent. After reaching the semifinals of Euro 2020, they failed to progress from the group stage at the 2022 World Cup and were knocked out early by Germany in the Euro 2024 playoffs. In qualifying, a costly 4–2 defeat to Scotland in the final round denied them automatic qualification.
Backed by strong home support, the Czech Republic may be able to narrow the gap in quality. Still, Denmark arguably possess greater overall strength. Given both teams’ attacking tendencies, this matchup could turn into an open contest, with chances at both ends and a strong possibility of goals from each side.
Both teams to score 1.90
