Sportradar and Kalshi Sign Landmark Sports Prediction Markets Partnership

Sportradar has entered into a multi-year global partnership with Kalshi, expanding its presence in the rapidly growing prediction markets sector through a comprehensive agreement covering official sports data, technology solutions, and integrity services.

The deal positions Sportradar as an official provider of sports data and related services for Kalshi's prediction markets platform. Through the partnership, Kalshi will gain access to official data feeds and live odds products covering major sports properties, including Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Soccer (MLS), and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

The agreement is designed to strengthen Kalshi's sports-related prediction markets by improving the speed and accuracy of market settlement while enhancing the overall user experience. In addition to official data, Sportradar will provide a range of technology solutions, including data visualizations, fan engagement products, customer acquisition services, and market support tools.

Integrity and market monitoring form a major part of the collaboration. Kalshi will utilize Sportradar's integrity portfolio, including its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS AI) and Integrity Exchange network. These systems are designed to identify unusual betting patterns, detect suspicious activity, and facilitate information sharing between industry participants to help protect market integrity.

The partnership also extends beyond Kalshi itself. Sportradar will have opportunities to collaborate with brokers, liquidity providers, and market makers operating within the broader Kalshi ecosystem, potentially expanding the reach of its data and technology products throughout the prediction markets industry.

Sportradar Chief Executive Officer Carsten Koerl described prediction markets as a significant growth opportunity for the global sports industry. He said the agreement allows Sportradar to bring its premium sports data and integrity services into a rapidly evolving sector while helping establish trusted standards as the market continues to mature.

Kalshi Co-Founder and CEO Tarek Mansour emphasized the breadth of the partnership, noting that the use of official league data will help improve market efficiency and settlement times. He also highlighted the importance of the integrity monitoring program in protecting users and maintaining confidence in the platform.

The announcement comes as Kalshi faces increasing regulatory scrutiny. The company is currently involved in legal disputes with state authorities in New Mexico and Rhode Island, where regulators argue that certain sports-related event contracts offered by the platform may constitute unauthorized gambling products. In addition, Spanish authorities have opened disciplinary proceedings related to allegations of unlicensed gambling activity.

Despite these regulatory challenges, the partnership represents a significant step for both companies and underscores the growing convergence between traditional sports betting technology providers and the emerging prediction markets sector. As interest in event-based trading products continues to rise, the agreement could help shape the infrastructure and integrity standards that govern the industry's future development.
