Novomatic Scores Three-Year Sponsorship Deal with Italian Handball Federation
The Italian Handball Federation (FIGH) has signed a three-year partnership agreement with Novomatic Italia, naming the gaming technology company the main sponsor of Italy's national handball teams from 2026 to 2029.

Under the deal, Novomatic's AdmiralPay E-Wallet brand will appear on the jerseys of all Italian national teams, including both senior and youth squads. AdmiralPay is a digital payment solution developed by Novomatic-owned Admiral, offering users an e-wallet for money management, purchases, and payments.

Novomatic Italia CEO Markus Buechele said the agreement reflects the company's commitment to supporting organisations that deliver a positive impact within local communities.

"This collaboration represents a sign of mutual trust and an important step towards increasing handball's visibility and audience, which we intend to support with a decisive contribution," Buechele said.

FIGH President Stefano Podini welcomed the partnership, describing it as an important milestone for Italian handball.

"Signing this agreement with Novomatic is a source of great pride for the Federation and the entire Italian handball movement. Novomatic Italia is a leading, innovative and internationally recognised organisation, and we are delighted to have it alongside our national teams and the wider sport," Podini said.

As part of the agreement, the APay E-Wallet brand will also feature on referees' uniforms during national championships and major federation events. Novomatic will further support the sport through promotional initiatives and content across the federation's digital platforms.

The partnership follows Admiral Pay's recent strategic agreement with Eurobet, announced in March. The deal saw APay E-Wallet integrated into the Entain-owned operator's online platform and retail network across Italy, forming part of the company's strategy to create a seamless "phygital" ecosystem that combines digital payment services with land-based operations.
