Feyenoord remain a formidable force in the Dutch league, where they remain second in the league table after a convincing 2-0 win over Sparta. But in the Champions League, the Rotterdam team could not withstand the competition from Atlético, Lazio and Celtic, finishing third in their group.
Reigning Europa League finalists Roma are unlikely to confirm their status given their poor state of affairs in the Italian league, as well as an emergency coaching change mid-campaign.
