VfB Stuttgart vs RB Leipzig Prediction 2 April 2025
Added on 31 March, 2025
The second leg of the German Cup semi-final between Stuttgart and RB Leipzig is set for next Wednesday.
Stuttgart, last season’s Bundesliga runner-up, has struggled this campaign, managing just two wins in their last ten matches. Their latest setback was a disappointing 0-1 loss to Eintracht. However, in the Cup, they have progressed steadily, eliminating Preußen Münster (5-0), Kaiserslautern (2-1), Regensburg (3-0), and Augsburg (1-0).
RB Leipzig, meanwhile, has been more convincing in their Cup run, dispatching RW Essen (4-1), St. Pauli (4-2), Eintracht (3-0), and Wolfsburg (1-0). But their recent Bundesliga form has been shaky, and a 0-1 defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach saw them slip to sixth in the table, prompting the dismissal of head coach Marco Rose.
Both teams are currently struggling for attacking fluency, and with so much at stake, a cautious approach is expected. Given their recent performances, this is unlikely to be a high-scoring affair.
